Transition Your Makeup Bag From Winter To Spring

Happy Spring ladies! Yes, it is finally here after months of snow, ice, and gloomy skies. That means it is time to start putting away your Winter makeup and break out your Spring stock. While it's not quite time to break out the bronzer and the coral lipstick, it is time to switch from deep and matte to neutrals and pastels. If you need a little help to get you started I've got your back.

Foundation:

Since, your skin will not crave as much moisture as it did during the dry, cold winter months it is time to switch to something to protect against the suns rays. CC and BB creams slightly even out skin tone, plus most provide SPF. May I suggest Rimmel 9-in-1 BB Cream. It is available in 2 shades, perfect for light or medium skin as a transition cream until it is time to start wearing your summer shade. Plus it contains SPF 25. Bonus!

Lipstick:

Swap your deep matte lipstick to a warm tone neutral shade to give your lips just a hint of color. A deep matte will wash out your face and make you look sickly. Try L'Oreal Colour Riche® Lipcolour in Toasted Almond for a subtle look.

Blush:

Time to put away the plum toned blushes and replace them with a color that is closer to a natural blush in your cheeks. Find a blush with a little sparkle or shimmer in it to highlight your cheekbones. Pictured is Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in Blissful.

Eye Shadow:

While jewel tone shadow totally meshed with the reds and greens of Christmas or the reds and purples of Valentine's Day, they will totally clash with the pastels of Springs. Pick up a soft eye shadow with neutrals for a natural eye. Maybelline ExpertWear Eye Shadow Quad in Sunlit Bronze or Designer Cupcakes does the trick for a few bucks a pop. Bonus, they even tell you where to apply the shadow so it's totally fool proof!

Nail Polish:

Deep and muted polishes are all the rage against a snowy back drop in January but once we switch to pinks in February and lime greens for St. Patrick's Day, it's hard to go back. Especially since Easter is coming up and the season calls for pastels. Switch from Sapphires and Emeralds to Baby Blues and Mints. Sally Hansen Hard As Nail Xtreme Wear in Mint Sorbet is a great color to carry you from April through June.

These are all my preferred products for my Spring makeup up bag. I love every single one. What products are an absolute must for yours? Share the love!

Until next time amigas, adios!
